No, I'm not even talking about races, which are heading that direction. Nor am I talking about cookie rides, which are tipping closer to that number by the ride. Some are already that much, and for what, a few bananas and a pair of socks?
I digress...
Last night was a good ride. Nice big jovial group. We did the longer loop last night, which includes a couple of portions of the Sunday Calhoun County loop. I can say with some credulity that I've ridden both of the climbs in last night's ride on several occasions, but rarely at that speed. It was actually fun.
Everyone...well, most everyone, stayed together until the end, even on the 30mph run in on 302. Once through the airport and onto Platt Springs, things went a bit pear shaped for yours truly.
Running down the hill @ well over 30, I hit a hole, or piece of metal, or something. My rear tire went flat immediately. FUCK! Yet another cut Vittoria Open Corsa SC, and a ripped Michelin latex tube.
The price of this showcase Johnny? Right at $75.
Fortunately, the cut is small, and I think I've devised a way to fix it without endangering myself, or others. I'm gonna try it later. No sense tossing a perfectly good tire for a 5mm x 1mm cut...
A couple of the Harrell's boys stopped with me, and thankfully, Ricky had an empty GU packet. Yep, that's the boot. It's thick mylar, and a tube will NOT blow through it. Try that with a dollar bill...
Appointment for the shoulder is next Tuesday. Can't wait to have a scar like this. JUST. CAN'T. WAIT.
Here's a pic from last Saturday's ride in Charlotte. That's right, I have hot chicks in lycra keeping me out of the wind...and you?
Baller knows no age limits...
Time to get ready and take Junior Mgmt. to the zoo. That should get rid of the stiffness in my legs...
Saturday 0900 from Brennan. Come on out. You may have a good time...
Namaste...

Wonder if I should come along in Charlotte...or would it be too much?
For you, yes, it would likely be too much...
