I don't care...

I don't care if the entire peloton was doped to the gills in the 90's.
I don't care if Pantani's hematocrit was 60 (-ish).
I don't care if the bikes were made of metal and the rims were box section.
I don't care that helmets weren't mandated.

And neither should you!

Pantani flats, goes out the back, and gets attacked.
The Mercantone Uno boys ran a fucking leadout train ON A CLIMB!!!

What's better?  Watching a bunch of guys with high-grade equine pharmaceuticals running through their veins, attacking the shit out of each other....

OR

Watching and listening to Andy Schleck whinge and moan, constantly looking over his shoulder to see where Frank is?

The 90's had some good racing. Personally I liked Jaja. A rider of many talents. Go for the green, poka-dot, yellow jersey or just go off on a long break. Please tell me who in modern day cycling fits this position.

No one. The 90's had guys who were personalities. Today, they say Cav has it. No way. He couldn't carry Cipo's suitcase.

Cycling today is still exciting and watchable, but comparing it to the 90's is like saying that vanilla frozen yogurt is as good as Oreo ice cream.

I too am sick of all the dope talk. Usually it's an excuse to hate on a rider, and a substitute for actually knowing anything about the sport. I wonder what gets massaged after Andy races, his legs or his neck?

I really love all of the "burn it all down" guys who constantly piss and moan about Lance, and doping in general. I'm willing to bet the contents of my checking account that these very same guys were jumping up and down in front of their TVs while LA was crushing souls in France.
Hypocrites...

As for Andy, he needs to heat up the Vagisil before application. The cold temps on his vajayjay make him cranky...
