Here's the scenario :
It's 8:45am, and the sign above hangs on my front door.
Doorbell rings.

Last night was another slowish ride, which is fine, as I had zero urge to really ride hard, and again, I forgot to eat something in the afternoon.  Really?  I'm forgetting to eat now?  Second time in a week.  Maybe the inner fatty is dying off...
Anyway...
Quicker roll out, but nothing to write home about.  Slow climbs. and tempo on the fast parts.  That was just fine, other than the whole, "Hey, we've slowed to 22, so I'll go to the front now..." thing that has been going on lately.  One Cannondale riding person of foreign birth did this about 6 times last night, even AFTER he got barked at by 2 or 3 people.
When the pace wicks back up, you're just in the way.  The quote, "Just strong enough to be a danger to himself..." was uttered more than once.
Another rider who shall remain nameless, but pulls all the way to the yellow line when getting off the front, was heard to say that he almost got whacked b/c he pulled out too far to the left.
No shit Sherlock.  We've been telling you that for months.
Also heard...
"If it's not on Strava, it didn't happen..."  This one was said in jest, thankfully!  Had it been in a serious manner, I may have been forced to hook a woman...

It was an evening of quotes...
I said nothing...

It may have been our last ride with DBarry as well.  The visiting Cat1 is moving out West next week.  Gonna miss the old (young) boy.  He's quality, as a rider, and most importantly, as a person.  Safe travels man!

Gonna figure out the new Keos and shoes tomorrow.  We'll see what happens...

Oh, and a little Lance action...
There seems to still be a fair amount of vitriol towards the Uniballer, which is sometimes a bit misplaced.  I don't care that he doped.  They all did.  Now some are choirboys, while LA lives to dangle over the jaws of Justice.  Whatever...
You all just wait, and watch...
LA might be a shitheel, and might have been the biggest cheater to ever ride a bicycle, but he isn't stupid.  This is a chess match, and he is going to beat someone's ass with his King.
The UCI and WADA is in trouble, as is USAC and USADA.  And you know who has the power to burn it all down?  That's right!  You can call him Mr. Armstrong....
You don't think, somewhere in his lawyer's office, there are REAMS of paperwork and communications that prove that all above agencies were complicit?
I'll take the long game here.  Have people already forgotten that Lance isn't afraid to be the asshole, and drag people down?
Get your popcorn ready, because it's about to get GOOOOOOD!

It's supposed to iffy this weekend.  Good luck to those who have chosen to travel to Athens to enjoy crit racing in the rain.  Your mantra should be "80psi...80psi..."

Whatever you choose to do, keep the rubber side down...

Athens crashfest doesn't need rain. Last time it did that the lead group actually separated from the pack. I can't remember an Athens Twilight where that has happened dry.
